About WellWise Services

WellWise Services Area Agency on Aging works to improve conditions affecting the lives of older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. We help identify concerns and develop a comprehensive and coordinated network of services to help our clients function as independently and safely as possible in their homes and communities.

The Older Americans Act of 1965 created agencies at the federal, state, and local level and developed programs that help the older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers maintain their health and independence in their homes and communities. WellWise Services Area Agency on Aging was established in 1974 and is a private, not-for-profit organization, serving Hillsdale, Jackson and Lenawee Counties.

WellWise Services Area Agency on Aging will purposefully identify, discuss, and address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion and the impacts they have on our clients, staff, organization, and community. We will challenge ourselves to understand and correct any inequities we may discover and gain a better understanding of ourselves during this purposeful process. We will develop and implement strategies that dismantle and rectify inequities within all aspects of our agency.
